The OZMO expands its team. As of May 1st we welcome Dr. Alexander Sasse as new medical expert
We are very excited to add another physician to the OZMO team starting May 1, 2023. Dr. Alexander Sasse is an orthopedic surgeon and trauma surgeon and has established himself as primarily an expert in holistic orthopedics.
Dr. Sasse immediately confronted the OZMO Patient Info editorial team in an interview:
OZMO editorial team: You are a native of Munich, grew up in Vaterstetten and went to school there. Where did you start your medical career?
Dr. Sasse: I began my medical career at the Clinic for Orthopedics, Sports Orthopedics and Trauma Surgery at the Technical University of Munich. In 2011, I moved to the “Orthopädie am Stiglmaierplatz” in Munich as a specialist in orthopedics and trauma surgery, among other things as deputy orthopedist of the Olympic Training Center Munich. Subsequently, I was employed at the “Privatärztliches Zentrum Bad Wörishofen” until March 2023, where I covered the entire spectrum of conservative and interventional orthopedics as well as sports medicine.
OZMO Editorial: What is your medical focus?
Dr. Sasse: During my medical career in various practices and clinics, I specialized in conservative orthopedics. I am convinced that many musculoskeletal injuries and diseases can often be treated without surgery. Part of the orthopedic surgeon’s art is to “fish out” the patient who does not need surgery. For this I use manual medicine, osteopathy and other non-surgical procedures. My goal is to offer my patients the best possible treatment and to advise surgery only when absolutely indicated and necessary.
OZMO Editorial: Last but not least, we would like to know a little bit about your private life. In addition to medicine, what else is part of your
Passions?
Dr. Sasse: Besides medicine, fly fishing on the Isar and other Bavarian waters is my great passion. It’s the perfect way for me to get away from it all and keep everything flowing. In addition, my family is a very important part of my life, I try to spend a lot of time with them although scattered throughout Germany.
