Prof. Dr. med. habil. Peter Diehl

Prof. Dr. med. habil. Peter Diehl studied medicine at the Technical University of Munich and has been a specialist in orthopedics since 2006 and a specialist in trauma surgery since 2009. After working in international clinics, he specialized in shoulder and knee joint surgery as head of sports orthopedics at the University Hospital Rechts der Isar (TU Munich) and the University Hospital Rostock. One focus of his work is minimally invasive joint surgery and regenerative cartilage therapy.

Prof. Dr. med. habil. Peter Diehl has been practicing orthopedic and trauma surgery since 1999.

His scientific focus is on the research and development of cellular studies for cartilage tissue regeneration and their clinical implementation.

He is instrumental in the development of modern and minimally invasive surgical procedures. Through national and international collaborations, patients receive treatments and information that are in line with the latest scientific findings, such as new stem cell therapy.

Prof. Dr. med. habil. To date, Peter Diehl has authored over 100 publications in international journals and books, given over 200 lectures worldwide, and has been responsible for the scientific direction and organization of several congress events.

For his achievements, Prof. Dr. med. habil. Peter Diehl several
international prizes and awards and in 2007, as part of his habilitation at the University of Rostock, he was awarded the teaching license and teaching qualification for the entire subject of orthopedics.

One of his main focuses is the education of residents, medical students and physical therapists, which is evidenced by a number of medical lecture series and by the successful supervision of a large number of doctoral students.

On November 2, 2016, Prof. Dr. med. habil. Peter Diehl of the University of Rostock appointed professor in the field of orthopedics for exceptional scientific work.
