Especially in spine or joint surgery (shoulder, hip, knee, elbow or ankle joint) we prefer to use endoscopic and arthroscopic surgery (so-called keyhole surgery). An inpatient stay is thus often no longer necessary or is significantly shortened. This facilitates rapid reintegration into the workplace or a return to sporting activities.

Should an operation with hospitalization nevertheless be necessary, we work together with an excellent partner, the Surgical Clinic Munich-Bogenhausen. Our doctor will operate and take care of you there.

Shockwave therapy

Shock wave therapy is used as an IGe service for various clinical pictures. As a specialist, Prof. Dr. Diehl uses shock wave therapy at OZMO to apply this with his wealth of experience through clinical and experimental studies. Extracorporeal shock waves can be used to treat tension as well as deposits in joints and tissues in a targeted manner. The use of shock wave therapy is promising, for example, in the following cases

Tennis elbow,
Heel spur, Achilles tendon irritation
Calcification in joints (e.g. shoulder)
delayed healing bone fractures, etc.

Meinhard Balensiefen, MD, is our expert in arthroplasty and hand and foot surgery, offers sports medicine and orthopedics for growing children and adolescents, and knows the ins and outs of metabolic diseases like osteoporosis with expert depth. Prof. Dr. med. habil Peter Diehl is a shoulder and knee specialist, also extremely knowledgeable in regenerative cartilage therapy and stem cell therapy, and works as head physician for minimally invasive procedures at the Dr. Lubos Klinik Bogenhausen. Also involved in this valuable partner for us as chief art is Priv. Doz. Dr. med. habil. Johannes Schauwecker. His particular expertise is in disorders of the hips and knees and in specialized orthopedic surgery.

Together, our three experts form an accomplished team for your health to provide qualified care for nearly any orthopedic treatment and procedure need.
